Esquinas Rainforest Lodge

Southern Costa Rica & Península de Osa

Esquinas consists of 16 spacious, high-ceilinged, fan-cooled cabins with indigenous textiles on the walls. The lodge’s extensive grounds include birdwatching trails and an inviting stream-fed pool. It was founded by the nonprofit Rainforest of the Austrians, vital in the establishment of Piedras Blancas as a national park. Esquinas is located in Gamba, 7km west of Km 37 on the Interamericana.

Surrounded by the primary rainforest of the park, Esquinas is integrally connected with the community of Gamba, employing local workers and reinvesting profits in community projects. By offsetting development with tree planting, it has become 100% carbon neutral.
