Just south of Santa Elena, above the mini-mall, Ficus' rooms are spacious and stylish, with private terraces and sweet views of the town and forest beyond. Unfortunately, landscaping is nonexistent and the design is more suburban condo than cloud forest lodge. Nonetheless, after a day trekking through the mist and the mud, you’ll appreciate that hot shower and comfy bed.
