In a modern white-and-green complex a few minutes' walk from the beach, this hostel is spacious and professionally run. It has a buzzy pool-side cafe, dedicated staff who arrange tours and surfing lessons, and various configurations of rooms spread over three floors. Roof-terrace hammocks catch the breeze, and dorms come with excellent mattresses, solar-heated rain showers and lockers.

There are regular yoga classes (free on Sundays) and movie screenings. Half-day bike and skateboard rental starts at US$5. Surfboard rental starts at US$10 per day. Several rooms have family-friendly furniture configurations, and footlights help guests find their way at night. Find it on a road in between Jacó Beach and Av Pastor Díaz just north of Río Naranjal.
