Deqin Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Museum

Shangri-la

Attractive modern permanent exhibitions on local history, folk traditions and religious culture make this a worthwhile stop before or after the Guishan Buddhist Temple (even if English captions are somewhat limited). Rotating exhibitions are hit or miss, but have a look at whatever is on. It also makes a strange counterpoint to the heavily propagandistic Long March Museum across the square.
