Kyaka Shak Kitchen

Lhasa

The atmospheric stone walls and wooden benches of this Tibetan restaurant on the Barkhor give it the feel of a traditional inn, which is fitting as the building was the residence of a Tibetan noble family before 1959. There are tasty Chinese and Tibetan dishes, as well as Nepali-style curry sets, but there's no English menu so come with your guide.

The Barkhor views and sunny rooftop are a bonus. It's near the Makye Amye restaurant.
