Hello Chengdu International Youth Hostel

Chengdu

This old-school stalwart of the China hostel scene is still a nice space, sprawled around two garden courtyards that are great to laze about in. Rooms are simple and clean enough, but it's definitely falling behind the game compared to some of Chengdu's other hostels.

There's a solid bar and a cafe (dishes ¥15 to ¥30), bike rental, a DVD library and ready travel advice.
