Flipflop Lounge Hostel

Top choice in Chengdu

Currently the ciy's best hostel, this lively place offers travellers all the usual services plus a few rare gifts – a pool table, a rooftop terrace, and experienced help when it comes to onward travel. The dorm beds are made of rough timber and have a fair amount of privacy, while the private rooms are more hotel than hostel.

It has fun daily events such as dumpling parties, singing competitions (okay maybe that's not so fun...), barbecues and communal hotpot dinners. Slightly more expensive than other hostels, here you're paying for the hip(ster) vibe and 10-minute walk to Chunxi Rd and Tai Koo Li.
