Inner Mongolia

You can usually get a room for around ¥220 unless you turn up during the peak season at this comfortable and cosy, large all-wood affair, which looks like something right out of Twin Peaks. You'll get a large timber room fashioned from logs (with wooden ceiling). Like virtually every hotel, it shuts for the winter. The name means the ‘St Peter Manor'.
