This institution has been serving up classic Suzhou-style soup noodles for 200 years. The delicious broth, which is made fresh each night from herbs, spices and a variety of animal bones, is the key component – come early, as once the broth runs out the restaurant stops serving. Try the signature fēngzhèn noodles served in white broth (白汤面底), with a huge hunk of soft, fatty pork belly (白焖肉). Order just inside the entrance, take your number and find a seat.
