Now part of the Shangri-La group, Hotel Jen feels more luxurious than its price tag suggests. The high-ceilinged, modern rooms are supercomfy with plump beds, and harbour views cost just a fraction more. In Hong Kong's stifling summers, the rooftop pool (with dreamy harbour views!) is a coveted amenity, and a rare one to find on Hong Kong Island at this price.
Hotel Jen's location is another perk; far enough away from Central to feel like a local neighbourhood, and walking distance to the increasingly hip communities of Kennedy Town and Sai Ying Pun, as well as the tram and HKU MTR station.
