Tim Ho Wan

Hong Kong

Opened by a former Four Seasons chef, Tim Ho Wan was the first-ever budget dim sum place to receive a Michelin star. Many relocations and branches later, this iteration beneath IFC Mall may be bland-looking but the star is still tucked snugly inside its tasty titbits (the shrimp dumplings are excellent). Expect to wait 15 to 40 minutes for a seat.
