In the heart of Central, this unobtrusive boutique hotel has 68 airy, white-and-cream rooms with marble bathrooms and subtle Asian touches: carved wooden screens, calligraphy work, black-and-white photos of old Hong Kong. Free Fuji water is a nice touch. The Envoy, its excellent hotel bar, is a tribute to Sir Henry Pottinger, Hong Kong's first governor and the hotel's eponym.
