Dong Village Hotel

Top choice in Guangxi

This popular inn, run by friendly, English-speaking owner Michael Yang, is superbly located right by the bridge. Rooms, connected by a creaking staircase, are spacious and attractively decorated and come with balconies, air-con and modern bathrooms. It's a 20-minute walk from the main road where the bus drops you off, about 100m to the right of the bridge.

Its restaurant with an outdoor riverside terrace is a scenic spot for a meal, and does a number of Dong specialties, including spicy pickled pork. Excursions to other Dong villages (per day ¥300), as well as overnight homestays, can also be arranged here.
