Fodder Factory

Beijing

With China's overworked millennials pining for simpler times, it's no wonder nostalgia has become big business. Fodder Factory tugs at the heartstrings with its rotary dial telephones, boxy television sets and exercise-book menu – a nod, too, to 798's past life as an electronics factory. Well-executed whimsy aside, the spicy Sichuan and Hunan dishes here are the best in the area.

Has a decent selection of imported beer and wine.
