Overlooking Chepu's most breathtaking spot – the Río Puntra's sunken forest – this pioneering ecolodge, labored over for years by Fernando Claude and Armory Uslar, employs loads of sustainable initiatives (solar and wind-generated electricity power, unique water consumption software) that not only power this spectacular, nearly self-sufficient eco-campground constructed from wood-alternative recycled fiber, but have earned it green accolades the world over.
Unfortunately, Claude and Uslar had retired and closed the lodge at time of research until a suitable heir to this eco-throne is found. Check the website before your visit to make sure it's open.
