A bright, contemporary coffee shop, the Slanted Door doubles as a gallery, showcasing work by emerging artists on its walls upstairs and down. The coffee drinks and teas are strong and flavorful, and the smoothies creative, with combos like apple-ginger-beet. Light snacks available, too. This is a popular place to catch up with friends or emails.

Look for the gorgeous bee mural by Nick Sweetman on the outer wall, part of the Bloor Street Revitalization Project to beautify the neighborhood with art and functional outdoor spaces.
