Délices d'Ariana

Québec City

Frequented almost exclusively by locals in the know, this turreted restaurant just north of Ave Cartier is often overlooked by visitors to Québec City. The exotic menu includes sumac-scented kebabs and traditional central Asian curries such as badenjaan bourani (stewed eggplant in tomato sauce with homemade yogurt) and qhurma (an onion-based dish with meat or vegetables).

The perfect accompaniment to these dishes is qabli pulao (cardamom-flavored rice with fruit and nuts).
