Prime Gelato

Top choice in Northern Ontario

With ambitions to be a Ben & Jerry's of the north, Prime sells gelato and sorbet in creative flavors such as salted caramel, and sometimes alcoholic options made with Kenora's Lake of the Woods beer. The dozen or so gluten-free creations on offer frequently change, but most incorporate fresh local produce from maple syrup to strawberries.

With so many options, we recommend trying the flight of four ice creams ($10) before choosing a bigger cup.
