Colorful bric-a-brac – including antlers, a baby grand piano and an old bus – lies splayed across the shrubby lawn as though Alice in Wonderland were having a garage sale. Charismatic owner Lloyd champions the backpacking lifestyle; he's a kindhearted, well-traveled soul who cares about his guests. The hostel is 25km east of town, close to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.

There are no card facilities, so be sure to have cash to pay. Double rooms are offered in the homey main building and outhouse, and guests hsve access to the kitchen and laundry facilities.
