Montréal’s Jewish theater stages dramatic performances in English and Yiddish – although as one of the city’s most prominent professional theater venues, plays presented are by no means exclusively Jewish. Past productions have included The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz (based on Mordecai Richler's novel), Tom Stoppard's Travesties, and Dora Wasserman's Yiddish masterpiece The Dybbuk.
Yiddish plays have supertitles in English and French.
Theater aside, the Segal Center also has occasional jazz concerts, film screenings and dance performances.
