Hidden on a quiet downtown lane, Café Parvis is set with oversized windows, hanging plants, old wooden floorboards and vintage fixtures. Once part of the fur district, this cleverly repurposed room serves up delicious pizzas ($10 at lunch; about $20 at night) in inventive combinations (such as duck, fennel and squid, ham and eggplant, or roasted vegetables with Gruyère).
These are matched by equally creative salads (such as beet, pear and goat's cheese). Dishes are small; you'll want to order a few.
