Manoir Ambrose

Montréal

This hotel consists of two merged Victorian homes in a quiet residential area. Its 21 rooms are comfortably furnished in neutral tones, and all have flat-screen TVs as well as plenty of natural light. The whitewashed brickwork and vintage doors as decor give Ambrose a converted-loft vibe. The on-site cafe is a nice place to start the day.

The best rooms are upstairs, so you'll have to hoof it up two or three flights (no lift). Staff are friendly and the location is decent.
