UBC's best pub welcomes with its communal tables, foliage-fringed patio and clientele of nerdy professors and hipster regulars. There's an excellent booze list; dive into BC craft beers from the likes of Driftwood and Strange Fellows. Food-wise, the Koerner Organic Burger is a staple, but also try the crunchy UBC Farm Harvest Salad, largely sourced from the university’s own farm.
There are $4 beer deals during the 2pm-to-4pm daily happy hour, plus additional specials throughout the week; ask your server for details. It's a bit hard to find Koerner's; just head along West Mall toward NW Marine Dr and you'll find the entrance located up a slight incline on the last driveway.
