Jam Cafe

Vancouver

The Vancouver outpost of Victoria's wildly popular breakfast and brunch superstar lures the city's longest queues, especially on weekends. Reservations are not accepted so you're well advised to dine off-peak and during the week. You'll find a white-walled room studded with Canadian knickknacks and a huge array of satisfying options, from chicken and biscuits to red-velvet pancakes.

Our favorite? The monumental BELTCH sandwich, with bacon, egg, lettuce, tomato, cheese and ham; you won't need to eat for the rest of the day after sinking your choppers into this. There's also a popular Jam satellite in Kitsilano (2153 W 4th Ave).
