Davie Dosa Company

Vancouver

Specializing in perfectly prepared South Indian dosas – huge, satisfyingly crisp rice-and-lentil crépes crammed with fillings such as butter chicken or delicious curried cauliflower – this charming candlelit joint is a Davie St magnet. Authentic dishes fill the menu, but be sure to include some idly, a fluffy bread-style starter served with spicy chutneys.

Vegetarians are well served, and there's a tempting selection of desserts to tuck into – including naughty, doughnut-like gulab jamun balls.
