Sweet Cherubim

Vancouver

Many Drive restaurants offer vegetarian options but Sweet Cherubim goes the whole hog with a full-on organic, vegan and veggie menu of hearty, well-priced comfort foods served at its red Formica tables. There's an Indian feel to much of the menu, ranging from bulging baked or fried samosas (go for potato and pea) to good-value thali combos.

This is also a good place for a quick pit stop. Snag a seat on the woodsy patio for a cinnamon bun or a raw hemp, vanilla and blueberry smoothie. And keep in mind that the eatery shares its space with a large health food store; perfect if you're staying in a place with a kitchen and need to stock up.
