Vancouver Island
The old apartment-style hotel along the harbor is no more, but some of the former suites can still be rented out privately including these two – a studio suite (sleeps two) and a one-bedroom flat (sleeps four). Expect water views and classic West Coast decor sculpted with local cedar wood, rock and glass. There's a three-night minimum stay in the summer.
Prices dip considerably in the off-season.
