Luxury 'glamping' comes to Tofino in the shape of these six yurt-like pods made out of PVC that sit perched on the waterside at Grice Point in full view of passing whales. The individually themed pods (named sand, rock, wave, wood, nest and leaf) all have mega-comfortable beds, deluxe toiletries, propane fireplaces and mini-kitchenettes and sit on raised cedar decks.
Handily positioned on the edge of town, this is 'camping' at its easiest – indeed, with their chandeliers, fairy lights and gorgeous visions of Meares Island across the Sound, these pods are more romantic that rustic.
