If money's not a concern then this is still the best choice in town, if for nothing else than its superb location in the heart of things in Douala. Rooms are plush and stylish, staff are helpful, and the vast swimming pool in the back garden is the best place to forget the chaos outside. The marble- and wood-lined lobby is a good place for a cool drink.
