Streets ahead of anywhere else in town, it's frankly amazing that a place like this exists in a town like Maroua. French run, the Porte Mayo has bundles of charm with its relaxed, modern-amenities-but-you're-still-in-the-Sahel kinda vibe, with roomy boukarous, an excellent restaurant-bar and friendly staff. A true oasis in the middle of dusty Maroua. Internet is by cable only.
