The Cambodian word for food is mahob, and at this restaurant it is delicious. Set in a traditional wooden house with a contemporary twist, this place takes the same approach to cuisine as it does to decor, serving up dishes such as caramelised pork shank with ginger and black pepper, or wok-fried local beef with red tree ants. Cooking classes available.
The owners have also opened the first farm-to-table restaurant in Siem Reap called Lum Orng (www.lumorngrestaurant.com), located out in Thlok Andong village, but it is only open for dinners and it is essential to book.
