The Place

Battambang's first flashpacker hostel, The Place was designed by L'Atelier Architecture & Design, who work with bamboo and other natural materials. The results are impressive with a contemporary feel in a welcoming space. Some dorms have wood-tiled walls and cubicles; others are split by a curtain. The rooftop bar is a popular spot for a sundowner.
