The Cambodian Rural Development Team (CRDT) runs this fantastic budget guesthouse in a beautiful wooden house in the centre. With silk pillows and bed runners, agreeable art and photos, wood floors and a great hang-out area, it puts plenty of care into the design. Rooms are somewhat dark and fan-cooled, but share boutique-quality bathrooms. It doubles as a training centre for at-risk locals.
There's a great restaurant (open 6.30am to 9pm) downstairs with delicious food prepared by program trainees. There are a few equally appealing air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms across the street above the main CRDTours office.
