Much more appealing than some of the hulking megahotels around town, the Rafain is an excellent-value, four-star business hotel with plenty of style, artistic detail and friendly staff. Rooms are simple with large balconies and modern bathrooms and there's a cracking pool and terrace. Nice poolside happy hour and Saturday feijoada (bean-and-meat stew; R$44).
