Manaus' first hostel is still its best. Spacious, warmly decorated common areas with colorful artworks and a rooftop dining area set it apart from other hostels, and there's a highly recommended tour operator on site. Large dorms and tidy private rooms are well looked after, and the whole place is a refuge from busy Manaus streets and professionally run.
There's kitchen access and self-service laundry. The addition of a lovely heritage building next door has only increased the hostel's charm.
