This eco-pioneering lodge is a private Pantanal for a privileged few. There's a main building and two luxurious lodges; forest-side Cordilheiro is the most remote with sumptuous suites and a great lookout tower, while lakeside Baiazinha has prime position for spotting jaguars. Both have pool decks, lounge areas and superb comfort. Tours are led by on-site multilingual guides. It's 36km north of Miranda.
There are dozens of jaguars and hundreds of macaws on the property, which is the location of the standout Onçafari jaguar project (all-day jaguar excursions in season have an extra cost of R$700). Prices include meals and numerous activities; there is a three-night minimum in high season with fixed entry and exit days. There's an additional one-off environmental charge of R$320 per person.
