What once was an old-timer's kosher haunt catering to Sampa's orthodox Jewish community remains such today, but son Alon has stepped up the family's game since taking over for his parents. These days he dishes out some of the city's best falafel, hummus and falovo, a house-invented falafel/Scotch egg hybrid that's not to be missed.
Suddenly, Alon is now winning city food awards and having articles written about his tiny and unassuming lanchonete in Israel.
