A Copacabana classic, Pavão Azul is a simple open-sided bar where huge crowds gather on the sidewalk out front to drink ice-cold chope (draft beer) and chat late into the night. It's been so successful in fact that the owners have opened a similar boteco, Pavãzinho, across the street. Don't miss the fantastically good, inexpensive pataniscas (codfish fritters).
