Rio de Janeiro

Going strong since 1934, Teatro Rival stages Música Popular Brasileira (MPB), samba, chorinho (informal instrumental music) and forró (Northeast popular music) groups – with both up-and-comers as well as veteran musicians such as Tânia Alves and Mart'nália. The setup is dinner-theater style, and you can order drinks and snacks throughout the show.
