Hotel Bristol

Sarajevo

Originally dating from 1976 but rebuilt in 2011, the Bristol's open lobby is given character by translucent marble columns, the corridors with subtle backlit swirls. It's located near the river, west of the centre, 300m from the Pofalići tram stop. Standard rooms are oddly shaped; it's worth paying extra for bigger river-view versions.
