Yangkhil Resort

Top choice in Bhutan

This resort, 1.5km west of Trongsa, is an excellent choice, with 21 rooms constructed in five blocks on a terraced hill facing the dzong. All rooms are clean and cosy with ample heating, a balcony and comfortable beds (no TVs). The gardens, with their lovely spring pear blossom, are an ideal place to relax, so arrange your itinerary for an early arrival.

It's worth noting that good Illy espresso coffee (Nu 180) is available at the well-stocked bar. An in-house bakery and outdoor restaurant were under construction at the time of research.
