About 6km south of Thimphu's centre, this charming restaurant offers traditional Bhutanese cuisine in a rammed-earth village home, one of four still standing incongruously next to the Thimphu–Babesa Expressway. The interior is decorated with antiques and the authentically spicy set menus include such local dishes as ribs with chilli, lom (dried turnip leaf) and mengay, optimistically described as 'Bhutanese pizza'.
It sometimes closes as early as 8pm at quiet times.
