Ambergris Caye

Adorned in tropics-themed tablecloths, local art and charming lattice, this little restaurant serves up Garifuna specialties including hudut (red snapper prepared in coconut milk with spices and pounded plantains) and cassava bread, the staple food of the group's ancestors. The restaurant doubles as a cultural center, and occasionally hosts educational performances involving Garifuna history, lifestyle and drumming traditions.

The performance is BZ$50 per person including a buffet, or BZ$40 without food. Call or email to find out when the next performance takes place.
