Dangriga
The Pelican is the most 'upscale' choice in Dangriga but still has a faded 1950s air about it. The hotel is on the northern fringe of town, close to the small airport and fronting the Caribbean Sea. Clean but uninspiring rooms come with TV, air-con (some have fans but sea-facing verandas) and colorful local artwork.
The beachside restaurant has a good vibe and sea views, though most of the dishes are pricey for Dangriga.
