Copal Tree Lodge

Top choice in Southern Belize

Formerly Belcampo Belize, Copal Tree Lodge enjoys a superb hilltop setting overlooking miles of protected jungle stretching down to the Gulf of Honduras. This beautiful lodge offers 16 spacious and luxurious suites, including four Canopy Suites, with solid wood furniture, queen- or king-size beds, full-length windows and private verandas overlooking jungle and sea.

There's a day spa and two cable tramways, one leading down through the jungle to the Río Grande and hotel gym. The excellent restaurant serves food sourced from the lodge's own organic farm, which guests can visit by free guided tour. Other tours on offer include fly-fishing, birding, snorkeling and trips to Maya ruins. Copal Tree feels remote but is only 2.5 miles off the Southern Hwy, and about 5 miles from Punta Gorda.
