Le Cygne d'Argent

Liège

Before you swan in, be aware that this hotel's 20 rooms come in quite different states of renovation. The newest have wooden floors with bold black-and-white decor and maybe the odd giant zebra photo-wall. Others have a rather dated colour scheme and 1990s bathrooms. The foyer seems little changed since the 1970s.

It's on an unlikely residential back street just south of the city centre between the Botanical Gardens and the Park d'Avroy. The breakfast buffet costs €10, parking is €10.
