About Lucy
I am a freelance travel, beer and food writer based in Cape Town. I like to marry my passions and my trips are largely planned around local microbreweries, distilleries, must-visit restaurants and street markets. My work has been published in a range of online and print media, including Travel Africa, Reader's Digest, CNN, The Guardian, BBC Travel and of course Lonely Planet. I have travelled extensively across the world and lived in the UK, Spain, Canada, South Korea, China and South Africa, where I popped in for a year in 2010 and couldn't drag myself away. I write a blog on beer in Africa and have written two books on South Africa's craft beer scene, with a third on its way.
