About Isabel
After working for a newspaper for six years, I left the office in London for a writing job at a magazine in Sydney followed by freelance work in Buenos Aires, with an overland trip from Singapore to Kathmandu along the way (the highlight was travelling across Tibet). I lived in Argentina for six years, and manage to return at least once a year. For the past seven years I've been living in Europe (between Ireland and Spain). I've written for Lonely Planet since 2015, covering destinations including Malaysia, Borneo, Ireland, Spain, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and Chile. I love hiking through forests, cycling through cities and along the coast, and swimming beneath waterfalls.
