Augarten Hotel

Graz

Augarten is decorated with the owner’s private art collection, which includes works by Maria Lassnig, Franz West and Martin Kippenberger. All rooms are bright and modern, and have something of a masculine edge, though not overbearingly so. The larger rooms are worth it, with windows on two walls in some and a luxurious spaciousness.

Fabulously, the gym and pool here are both open 24 hours. The hotel is a stroll from the centre, but the onsite Magnolia restaurant is a good choice for dinner if you're not in the mood to move.
