With spiral staircases inside a 1537 former bakery and Biedermeier-style rooms with vaulted ceilings and drapes around the beds, this sweetly nostalgic hotel is pretty and cluttered with antiques faux and real, creating an impressive place to stay. The theme continues out in the extensive gardens, service is top-notch and children are superbly catered for.
Its restaurant (closed Monday) serves rustic regional specialities and local wines out in the garden.
